The Public Enterprises Department in Andhra Pradesh functions under the control of Honorable Chief Minister.

The Group of Ministers consisting of 4 cabinet rank ministers headed by Minister of Finance approves various proposals relating Reforms of Public Sector Enterprises / Cooperative Enterprises.

The Public Enterprises Department has two wings:

• The regular Secretariat Wing looking after adminstrative functions relating to Public Sector Enterprises and Cooperative Enterprises.
• An Advisory Wing (Implementation Secretarit) looking after the Public Enterprises Reform Program.

Both the wings of PED are headed by a senior IAS officer of the cadre of Principal Secretary or above.

The Secretariat wing, has the following personnel assisting the Principal Secretary:

• An Additional Secretary to Government
• Advisor to Government
• Assistant Advisor(s)
• Assistant Secretary and
• Section Officers

Implementation Secretariat includes the following Officials assisting the Principal Secretary in carrying out the Reforms Program:

• Financial Advisor 
• Media Advisor

• Project Coordinator
• Director, SSNP
